She said while addressing the party's extended meeting at Ganobhaban in the morning.
The prime minister called upon the grass-root level activists to strengthen their party activities and work sincerely for implementing the election manifesto.
Everybody will have to be alert as conspiracies to destroy the democracy are on, she said.
Highlighting different achievements in last one year of her government, she said everyone has to vow to build 'sonar bangla'.
As the meeting started at about 11:00am, the leaders offered 'Shokrana Doa' expressing gratitude to the Almighty Allah following the execution of the death sentence of five Bangabandhu killers.
It also observed one-minute silence in honour of the party leaders and activists who died in the last seven years.
The second session of the meeting will start at 2:30pm.
Prior to starting the extended meeting, Awami League Central Working Committee (ALCWC) sat in a meeting at party president Sheikh Hasina's political office in Dhanmondi.
AL presidium member and deputy leader of the parliament Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury presided the meeting, which approve the party's amended charter.
Some 10,000 leaders and workers from grass root level, including presidents and general secretaries of the party across the country, are attending the extended meeting.
